The Sasquatch Escape : The Imaginary Veterinary Book 1

The Sasquatch Escape : The Imaginary Veterinary Book 1
Review by : Yagyesha Roy
A huge shadow with an enormous wingspan darted behind a cloud. Something as big as a helicopter with a rope like tail. Ben Silverstein couldn't believe his eyes! Could it be....a Dragon? -  These lines made me very interested in reading this book.

When Ben Silverstein's parents send him to the boring town of Buttonville to live with his grandfather over the summer ,Ben is sure it would be the worst summer ever. But when his grand father's cat brings home a baby dragon,it changes everything. At the market, Ben meets a man who claimed he was working with a worm doctor named Dr. Emerald Woo at the old button factory. A Recipe card  that contained the recipe for artificial dragon's milk falls out of the man's pocket and into Ben's  hands.

Then Ben decides to bring the dragon to him. With the help of Pearl Petal ( A girl who also saw the dragon)he gives the baby dragon to Mr.Tabby, the man who Ben met at the market. Then Ben and Pearl learn that it's not a worm hospital, but a hospital for hurt  Imaginary World animals.

When they enter the hospital, Ben forgets to bolt the door, and a big hairy beast called a Sasquatch( or Bigfoot )escapes. Mr. Tabby gives the Sasquatch Catching Kit to Ben and Pearl.

A lady and her daughter Martha and Victoria Mulberry want to know everything( especially
secrets ) about Dr.Woo. Ben and Pearl find out that the Sasquatch loves sugar,so when they go to a senior center on Pudding Day and find the sasquatch, they lure it back with chocolate, but they face disaster when Mrs. Mulberry almost sees them. Luckily, Pearl traps them in a net provided in the Sasquatch Catching Kit. They get rewarded by getting certificates of merit saying they were skilled in the art of sasquatch catching, meeting Dr. Woo ,and becoming her apprentices.

I ( Yagyesha Roy ) was recommended this series/book by a librarian named Mrs. Rasberry. On a scale from 1 to 5( 5 being the best, ) I would rate this an absolute 5. Here is why - I basically love imaginary creatures but I also like non-fiction so this is a blend of the two. I am especially interested as some people have actually claimed that they  have seen Sasquatches around.  Try getting it from your local  library. Hope you enjoy:)
